With his platform sneakers, multicolored hair and trademark sunglasses, you won’t confuse Ian Erix with anybody else on the music scene. His eclectic sense of style is talking piece second to his music, an extremely catchy electro pop hybrid of sound, laced with emotional and sometimes quirky lyrics, expertly crafted by Ian, himself.

New York born and bred, Ian is a pop singer, songwriter, TV presenter and activist who has traveled the world and racked up over 40 million streams across multiple online music platforms as he continues to grow a multinational fan-base.

Erix began his career in the form of a DJ/MC at the tender age of 9 and cut his teeth in his early teen years on outlets like Radio Disney and with Lou Pearlman's infamous TransContinental Records. Those familiar with the earlier works that first catapulted him into the international spotlight, racked up millions of plays online and landed him on several Top 10 charts on 3 continents may recognize the signature elements of Ian's original sound but will surely appreciate the musical evolution he has undergone in the process of making his latest album, "Unmuted", which is expected to bow worldwide in 2021.

Having toured extensively as a performer and presenter around Europe and Asia Erix has appeared at several top music festivals with world renowned acts such as Kygo, Dua Lipa, Lil Pump and Shawn Mendes.  Having previously presented at iconic musical events like Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland, one of his biggest breakthroughs came back in 2013 when he played his song “Sex, Dance and Rock & Roll” on stage at Réveillon, a New Year’s Eve festival with David Guetta in front of a near record breaking crowd of 2.5 million people at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  That single went on to chart in several markets and Ian was later signed to Ultra Music, part of Sony Entertainment’s brand of labels.

In 2015, Ian followed up with the release of a his campy and whimsical single "Shangri-la" which with Finnish counterpart "Ranalle" was a Top 10 smash in parts of Europe and Asia.  Ian's 4 part "Graffiti On My Heart" music video project followed to critical acclaim and later, his 2017 single, "Footprints In The Sand" went to #5 on the dance radio charts in Japan along with a David Guetta/DJ Kongo mix of the song that made buzz worldwide.

While Erix continued to travel the world, ostensibly to promote his music, he also began championing humanitarian causes along the way.  In 2018, he appeared in the UAE at a pre-show for Katy Perry where he stood up for LGBTQ rights following her groundbreaking performance of "I Kissed A Girl".   While presenting with Austin Mahone and Whiz Khalifa in the Philippines, Ian took part in a moving PSA against drug culture and while performing in an MTV pre-show at Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour in India, he addressed combating third world poverty and government corruption.

Following up on his humanitarian efforts, last fall Ian founded the nonprofit HUGG Coalition in an effort to unite people around the world to fight against injustice, spread positivity and empower youth.  His single "Raise Some Hell", was the first project for his nonprofit and is a powerful anthem for change that Ian wrote and recorded.  In the aftermath of the shooting tragedy in Parkland, Ian flew to Florida to meet with with survivors of the school massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and some effected community members who recorded background vocals on the song with him and lent their stories and voices to the track.  The video for the #RaiseSomeHell project surpassed 2 million views on Facebook and featured several of the most well-known students from Parkland.  It served as a rallying cry to young people, imploring them to rise up and let their voices be heard. All profits from sales of the song have been pledged to victims’ families, survivors, and non-profit groups supporting causes for social change.
 
While Erix is still very much an emerging artist in his American homeland, he has been voted top new artist to watch for in a recent iHeart Radio station poll.  With a new album in the works, several US television series in development at major networks and high profile festival appearances in the pipeline after the pandemic restrictions are lifted, Ian’s star is on track to rise in 2021.  His upcoming album, titled “Unmuted”, is loaded with compelling, thought provoking, poignant tunes that will surely resonate with a wide range of new listeners. As a proponent for freethinking, self-expression and having fun, Erix continues to promote a message of anti-conformity, positivity and global awareness to a growing legion of followers.
